Human Negligence Changing Widlife Behavior
December 2025: During a visit to Kerala’s Periyar Tiger Reserve (India), GORA Foundation witnessed how human negligence is changing wildlife behavior. Monkeys were consuming junk food and sugary drinks left behind by visitors, leading to unhealthy dependence and aggressive interactions with people. Disturbed by what we saw, we documented the issue and formally appealed to local forest authorities (To: Office of the Deputy Director, Periyar Tiger Reserve & Field Director(Periyar Tiger Reserve), Kottayam, Kerala) with practical recommendations to protect the animals and improve visitor safety.

Supporting The Parvo Puppies
December 2025: GORA supported the Bassett Hound Rescue Group of Georgia (https://www.bhrg.org/) in their lifesaving care for two puppies diagnosed with Parvo. These young brothers were pulled from a shelter just in time, and their treatment is urgent and costly. Our contribution helps them to get the intensive medical care needed to fight this dangerous illness and get a second chance at life.

Powering The Python
November 2025: GORA is proud to support Scaley Addictions (https://scaleyaddictions.org/), a reptile rescue organization dedicated to caring for abandoned and surrendered reptiles. In November 2025, GORA made a donation to cover one year of food, housing, and electricity costs for a rescued ball python.
